The Japanese two-wheeler major Yamaha is all set to enter the scooter market in India and has already invested Rs 10 crore to set up a plant in Surajpur , Uttar Pradesh.
India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd CEO and Managing Director Hiroyuki Suzuki said that “The scooter market in India is huge and we want to have a strong presence. Now we are preparing to launch a scooter here within 2012”. He also added that the scooters will be aimed at personal stylish commuting.
We hope we get some old school retro modeled scoots, in the mean while here is a look at some of the scooters that Yamaha have out side India.
