Yamaha has officially confirmed that some units will be voluntarily recalled in India for its well-known Yamaha YZF-R3 motorcycle. As per reports, around 1, 874 units will be recalled for this bike which were produced sometime between July 2015 and May 2018.

The recall procedure will aim at fixing some issues related to the radiator hose and spring torsion. The initiative has already been started by IYM (India Yamaha Motor) for getting affected components replaced with newer and modified/updated ones. These repairs will be conducted free of cost for owners throughout Yamaha’s network of authorised dealerships in India.

The company will be resolving issues related to leaking of coolant from the bike’s radiator along with taking up defects related to torsion spring widening. Yamaha has stated that it has not received any complaints from owners in India as of yet. However, owners of the affected Yamaha YZF-R3 models will be contacted individually by their Yamaha dealerships in order to get these problems fixed at the earliest.
