Kawasaki India has announced the price of the premium supersport Ninja ZX-6R and it will cost you 10.49 lakh ex-showroom. This is a shocker in the 600cc supersport category which does not have any major rivals currently, what with Triumph Motorcycles phasing out its Daytona 675 R and no other big launches in this space. Bookings for the Ninja ZX-6R had already begun couple of months back.
The Ninja ZX-6R gets an in-line 636 cc four cylinder engine that makes 130 Ps @13,500 RPM and 70.8 Nm @ 11,000 RPM. The revamped ZX-6R also sports a new fairing design and decals along with an all-LED headlight and upgraded font fascia. The bike will be brought to India in the form of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits. Its kerb weight lies at 196 kg and will be available in three colour options – Lime Green / Ebony / Metallic Graphite Gray.
The ZX-6R will have premium components and offer top-notch performance both on and off the track. The motorcycle will get an extensive electronics package which includes three-stage traction control, Kawasaki Quick Shifter, two riding modes and standard ABS. Other quality components include Showa Big Piston Forks which are completely adjustable and a totally adjustable Showa monoshock. There will be Nissin Monobloc callipers for braking duties along with Bridgestone Battlax S20 tyres.
