Bajaj Auto has officially shown the upcoming new 2019 Dominar 400 ABS through an advertisement which is a part of its global campaign titled the World’s favourite Indian. This video shows off the upcoming 2019 Dominar 400 without any camouflage whatsoever! Of course, the front fascia will have new USD forks and many other changes.
The front brake disc positioning is now on the left. The USD forks which could be similar to the ones seen on the Duke, may be tweaked in order to better position the Dominar 400 as a premium touring alternative. The exhaust system also looks all-new with twin-port canisters and the exhaust note which can be heard here sounds more rev happy than before.

The liquid cooled 373.2 cc engine in the present model may be retained and this makes 35 Ps and 35 Nm of peak torque. However, the new engine will adhere to BS-VI emission regulations and a DOHC system may be integrated for the bike like the engine used in the KTM 390 Duke. Blacked-out wheels look more stylish with the spokes getting silver outlines, these look similar to the first concept of the bike shown. There is also a blacked out knee recess zone for the fuel tank which now also has the secondary digital display unit in front of the fuel filler cap with odometer, two trip meters, clock and gear-position indicator. Other changes are the addition of steel braided lines for the front brake, minor changes to radiator housing and a re-designed mirror.

The 2019 Dominar 400 should be costlier by INR 10-15,000 than the current version. Bookings have already opened across Bajaj showrooms in the country with a soft launch expected in early February.
