Suzuki Motorcycle India is preparing to launch the eagerly awaited Gixxer 250 in the country sometime in June 2019. A fully faired Gixxer 250 SF may also be on the cards similar to the smaller Gixxer strategy. The Gixxer 250 will take on the Yamaha FZ25 in its category while the SF variant may compete with the Fazer 250. There have been multiple reports over the past year regarding this mystery machine which was earlier confirmed by Suzuki it self.
Contrary to most reports the Gixxer 250 will get a single cylinder engine with power figures somewhere between 20 and 23 PS. The bike will have a BS-VI compliant engine with fuel injection. The design will be inspired by the Haojue DR300 which is sold across some global markets and there could be a full LED headlight and LED tail light along with a full digital instrument cluster. There will also be front and rear disc brakes along with dual channel ABS as standard.
The Gixxer 250 will most likely be priced below INR 1.40 lakhs with the SF variant being priced somewhere around INR 1.50 lakh.
