After getting teased in a video, the new TVS Apache RR 310 has now been launched at Rs 2.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The update is in the form of a ‘Race-Tuned’ slipper clutch. Being a performance-oriented motorcycle, the Apache RR 310 deserved this upgrade. In fact, it should’ve come with a slipper clutch in the first place.

Apart from this mechanical upgrade, TVS has also brought in a new ‘Phantom Black’ colour which supposedly has a different finish than the previous black paint job. It also features red and white stripes to make the bike look sportier.

The Apache RR 310 was the first TVS offspring from the TVS-BMW Motorrad collaboration. It really caused a stir in the segment back when it was first launched. It proposed a fresh design with premium features and supreme fit and finish. It comes with a 313cc, single-cylinder engine which produces 34 horsepower and 27.3 Nm of torque. Its reverse-inclined nature makes it a unique engine, that too on an Indian bike. It’s the same engine that powers the BMW G310 R and G310 GS.

The new RR 310 costs Rs 3,000 more than the previous model. So for the extra money, you get a slipper clutch and a new colour. TVS has also said that the owners of the existing model can also upgrade to the ‘Race-Tuned’ slipper clutch which will be available as a TVS Racing accessory.

If you’re an RR 310 owner, would you get this upgrade? Let us know what do you think.
