CFMoto would have already been in India in 2016 with the help of its partner firm (at that time) Eider Motor. Unfortunately, the latter declared bankruptcy and the whole plan went down the drain. But now the Chinese firm is back with a bang and will finally enter the Indian market in July with its 650s.

CFMoto will make its Indian debut with its 650NK, 650GT, and 650MT. It wants to make a strong first impression, perhaps, that’s why it is launching not one but three motorcycles, naked, sports tourer, and adventure tourer. All three of them are powered by the same 649cc parallel-twin engine which has been tuned slightly different for each motorcycle. The naked one will have around 61PS whereas the other two would have around 70PS. There would be a 6-speed gearbox in all of them.

It is being said that all the three bikes would fall under the Rs 6 lakh mark. For this, CFMoto has partnered up with Bangalore-based AMW Motorcycles for the manufacturing. A factory is already in place in Bangalore and is capable of producing 10,000 units annually when running in its full strength.

As far as the competition goes, the 650NK is likely to face heat from the Kawasaki Z650, the 650GT would have to deal with the Ninja 650, and the 650MT will go toe-to-toe with the Versys 650.

CFMoto says that its plan is to launch five motorcycles in India by the end of 2019. It will soon announce its dealerships which will be located in the top metro cities, to begin with.
