With the BS6 emission norms scheduled to come into effect from April 2020, many two-wheeler manufacturers are testing their updated models with updated engines. In the past few months, we have spotted and reported about numerous upcoming bikes that will be BS6 compliant. Now, finally, we have got some news regarding one of the most popular motorcycles in the Indian market, the TVS Apache 200.

Motor Vikatan has shared a picture which appears to be the first-ever spy shot of the upcoming 2020 TVS Apache 200. Although we can’t really see the entire bike, we can tell that it’s an Apache. The main highlight of the spy shot is the split-type headlight. The bottom part looks like an LED DRL. Apart from that, we can also spot the familiar tank scoops, leg guard/crash guard, and rearview mirrors. We don’t really know whether TVS will change the rear end of the bike or not.
The current model of the Apache 200 is powered by a 197.75cc oil-cooled single which produces 20.5PS and 18.1Nm. The fuel-injected variant is 0.5PS more powerful. It would be too early to comment on the engine of the upcoming 2020 Apache but we are quite optimistic that TVS will make it BS6 compliant. As far as the power and torque figures are concerned, things are a bit too hazy right now.
We are expecting to see more spy shots of the bike in the coming future and thus things will get clearer. Do let us know what changes would you like to see in the new Apache.
