The number of sportbikes in India has increased tremendously in the last few years. From the Kawasaki Ninja H2 to the Ducati Superleggera 1299, we’ve everything. And considering this growing trend and demand, more and more brands are coming with their finest products. Ducati Diavel is a very unique motorcycle and has a fan following of sophisticated people. It has been well received in the Indian market and thus Ducati is going to launch the new Diavel 1260 pretty soon.

The launch date of the new Diavel 1260 has been confirmed for 9th August. This new machine is similar yet so much different than its predecessor. Ducati has tweaked the mighty Testastretta DVT 1262 engine to extract 157 horses and 129 Newton-metres. Also, the Desmodromic Valve Timing works like a cherry on top of the cake.
The updated Diavel will also get an update electronic package that will include cornering ABS with 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), cornering traction control system, wheelie control system, cruise control, etc. It will also get three riding modes – Urban mode with power limited to 100 bhp, Touring mode with full power, and Sport mode with full power and aggressive throttle response.

The Ducati Diavel 1260 will be available in two variants – standard and S. The latter will feature LED daytime running light, LED turn indicators, Ohlins suspension, top-spec Brembo M50 monobloc brake calipers, up/down quickshifter, and Bluetooth Ducati multimedia system which can be synced with a smartphone, and the Ducati Link App.
The Diavel 1260 is already available in some international market and on 9th August, India will get it too. Regarding the price, it is being anticipated that the standard version of the 1260 would fall somewhere around Rs 17 lakh mark whereas the S version will be more expensive and would cost near to Rs 21 lakh.
