Suzuki recently launched the MotoGP edition of the Gixxer SF. It’s a new livery that makes the already good-looking bike even more desirable. As soon as we got to know about the Gixxer SF MotoGP edition, the first question that came to our minds was whether Suzuki would launch a Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition or not. Well, it will.

Suzuki has confirmed the launch of the MotoGP edition of the Gixxer SF 250 that is most likely going to happen next month in August. We don’t have an exact date. The new livery would be similar to the one that we have seen in the Gixxer SF – gorgeous Racing Blue colour along with the Suzuki Ecstar graphics, and distinctive pinstripes on the alloy wheels.

Since Suzuki is charging a marginal premium over the standard model for the Gixxer SF MotoGP edition, we are expecting to see a similar hike in the price of the MotoGP edition of the more powerful Gixxer SF 250 whose standard model is currently sold for Rs 1.71 lakh (ex-showroom).

Apart from the colour scheme, the rest of the Gixxer SF 250 is going to be the same – 249cc, single-cylinder, SOHC oil-cooled engine with 26.5hp and 22.6Nm of torque, LED headlights, fully digital instrument cluster, clip-ons, etc.

After the launch of the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition, Suzuki’s next launch in the country would be its naked version, the Gixxer 250.
