Last month, Suzuki launched the MotoGP edition of the Gixxer SF and it was pretty clear at that moment that we will soon be getting the same livery in the Gixxer SF 250. And now, we have it. Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition has just been launched in India at Rs 1.71 lakh (ex-showroom).

Speaking about the launch of the new paint scheme, Devashish Handa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “Following the success of Gixxer SF 250, we are thrilled to launch the MotoGP edition of Gixxer SF 250 that asserts Suzuki’s racing DNA. The Suzuki Racing Blue colour has always been the identity of Suzuki’s spirit and passion for racing. The contemporary styling coupled with sporty design and high-performance engine powered with innovative SOCS technology further enhances the racing character of the motorcycle. We are sure that the motorcycle will be received with the same enthusiasm as the other variants of the GIXXER brand.”

The new livery represents the 2019 livery of the race-spec Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP bike. It looks fantastic and should inspire more riding confidence to the rider. Apart from that, the rest of the bike remains unchanged. It continues to draw power from the new 249cc, single that produces 26bhp and 22.6Nm of torque. Suzuki didn’t use liquid cooling for this engine thanks to its Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) technology.

The Gixxer SF 250 is a fresh product in the 250cc segment and brings with itself new design and styling. Its all-LED headlamp is one of its best features. Apart from that, it also gets dual-channel ABS, an LED taillight, and a new dual-barrel exhaust that sounds pretty nice.
