A test mule of what seems to be the upcoming BS6 Apache RTR 160 4V has been spotted testing. The new BS6 emission norms will be enforced from 1st April 2020, so TVS is preparing its fleet to fulfil those norms.

The current Apache RTR 160 4V is one of the best bikes in its segment. It has borrowed its looks from its elder sibling, the Apache RTR 200 4V. It is one of the best-looking bikes in its segment. In terms of performance, it has 16.6bhp and 14.8Nm and gives a tough competition to its rivals. It’s available in both carb and Fi variants. However, the updated BS6 model will most likely be Fi only. As far as the power and torque figures go, they would be more or less unchanged.

Apart from being BS6 compliant, the new 2020 Apache RTR 160 4V will also get minor cosmetic changes. It would have a revised headlamp unit that would feature a much more prominent set of LED DRLs and a new shaped headlight. Although it’s quite unlikely, we would like TVS to introduce full LED lighting in its updated products. Wouldn’t that be a welcoming upgrade?

As of now, no further detail about the BS6 Apache RTR 160 4V is recovered. We wouldn’t be surprised to see more spy shots of the test mule this bike as well as other TVS products. Since the Apache series is extremely popular in the country, TVS might be working on that first.
