TVS Apache RTR 200 is a handsome-looking motorcycle and is selling in pretty good numbers. Just like the Pulsar and Royal Enfield, Apache has got its own fan following. Here’s some good news for those fans. TVS is working on an updated Apache RTR 200 which might be launched sometime in early 2020. We have its leaked image.
As you can see, the new Apache would be getting a revised headlight. It would be a full-LED unit along with redesigned LED DRLs. This new setup is expected to add to the bike’s aggressive and sporty stance.
We are also expecting TVS to add a new instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. It wouldn’t be a huge deal for the company as the NTorq already has it and also features turn-by-turn navigation. This would certainly appeal to a larger audience because most of us use Google Maps for navigation and have to get a mobile holder for the same. Apache’s new instrument cluster would simply make things easier.
New BS 6 rules are going to be enforced from 1st April 2020 so it’s quite obvious that the engine of the Apache RTR 200 would also receive some changes to make it BS 6 compliant. TVS might have to let go of the carburettor in this process. The current model of the Apache RTR 200 produces 21PS and 18.1Nm of torque.
The rest of the bike and its mechanicals are expected to remain the same. However, TVS might introduce some new colour options to freshen things up. Also, the price of the new 2020 Apache would see a small hike. TVS would follow the same footsteps for the less-capacity Apache 160V later.
