With the implementation date of the BS6 emission norm in the country inching closer day by day, manufacturers are working tirelessly to make sure they get the job done well before 1st April 2020 and launch the updated BS6 compliant products. Bajaj too is moving towards the same direction and it is quite likely that its entire Pulsar range would make it to BS6.
It’s quite normal that during such a transition, companies tend to let go of their older products for various reasons. Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been among us for years and is still selling in great numbers. It’s an old product but Bajaj isn’t going to leave it behind. Similarly, the least powerful Pulsar in the range, the Pulsar 135 would also find its place in the BS6 line-up.
Jumping from BS4 to BS6 requires numerous changes in the engine and other parameters. Bajaj will take certain measures whether it is replacing carburettors with fuel injectors or with electronic carburettors, and would bring all the Pulsar models in the BS6 era. Of course, all this would come at a small hike in the price of the products but we applaud Bajaj’s efforts to take the entire Pulsar range forward.
We are expecting Bajaj to start launching its BS6 compliant products one by one pretty soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
