Ever since Benelli joined hands with its new partner in India, Adishwar Auto Ride, it has been playing at the front foot. This year, it has already launched its TRK 502 range and Leoncino 500. Now, its next launch is most probably going to be the Imperiale 400.
If the reports are to be believed, Benelli Imperiale 400 could reach the showrooms across the country in the next month. Apparently, Benelli has been busy to make Imperiale 400’s 373.5cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine BS 6 compliant. In its current state of tune, it produces around 20.4hp of power and 28Nm of torque. It has also been looking to localise a few parts and components to keep the cost of the bike in check.
In terms of equipment, there won’t be any high-end options available. Perhaps, the primary electronic would be a dual-channel ABS. We are also not so confident about LED lighting, considering the bike is purely classical.
The Imperiale 400 is going to be Benelli’s first retro-styled motorcycle in India. When launched, it should go up against the Royal Enfield Classic and perhaps the Jawa. We are expecting it to have a price tag of around Rs 2-2.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
