It seems that the Imperiale 400 has received quite a good response from the Indian audience because Benelli says it has received over 500 bookings of the bike since September 27th. This is Benelli’s first classic or retro-styled motorcycle in India and such a number is quite impressive.

Benelli Imperiale 400 has been recently launched in India for Rs 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and is expected to give a tough fight to Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Jawa standard. Considering Benelli’s aggressive pace in the country, people’s perspective of the brand has changed.

The Imperiale 400 shows off its retro-styled features like a round headlamp and side turn indicators, spoke wheels, split-seats, single-piece handlebar, chrome rearview mirrors, round tail light, etc. We like the twin-pod instrument cluster that Benelli has used as it is a slight touch of old plus new.

Powering this classic bike is a 374cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 21 hp and 29 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and would provide a better low and mid-range.

Benelli says that the deliveries of the booked bikes will commence on October 27th. The first customers who have booked an Imperiale 400 will be able to enjoy the bike very soon.

We are trying to get our hands on the Imperiale 400 so that we can provide you guys with a complete review. So, stay tuned!
