BluArmor, a Bangalore-based start-up, has been named a CES 2020 Innovation Awards Honoree for its upcoming product, BLU3 E20, in the In-Vehicle Entertainment & Safety category. BLU3 E20 will be officially launched at CES 2020 in Las Vegas.
What is BluArmor BLU3 E20?
BLU3 E20 is the first two-wheeler accessory in the world that provides car-like comfort to two-wheeler riders by integrating physiological comfort (cooling, dust-free and defogging) with psychological comfort (assisted infotainment).
With BLU3 E20, the temperature of the air flowing into the helmet is as much as 15 degrees Celsius (27 degrees Fahrenheit) cooler than the ambient. A dust-free ride is ensured through wet-filtration. Riders can tune the airflow speed and direction to best suit their convenience and can get up to 6 litres of cool air per second into the helmet.

BLU3 E20 is the world’s first two-wheeler accessory to simultaneously support Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) through its proprietary TWOFLO technology. This opens the door for BLU3 E20 to effectively leverage services on the phone and offer a number of new features such as integration with the phone’s voice-assistant (to control BLU3 E20, access its user manual), location-aware voice-notes that double-up as effective reminders as the rider approaches a location, play WhatsApp messages as they arrive and intelligent control of BLU3 E20 based on riding speed.
BLU3 E20 also differentiates in the simplicity of its user interface. Through its proprietary SAeFEx (Situation-aware Actions engineered For an Easy experience) technology, BLU3 E20 replaces the buttons that exist in a typical connectivity accessory with a single, large, context-aware, click-surface that is easy to activate. Powered by several key technology IPs, BLU3 E20 blends the best of mechanical, industrial, embedded electronics and software design to offer unparalleled comfort to two-wheeler riders.
Talking about this recognition, Sundararajan Krishnan (PK), an IIT Madras alumni and Founder and CEO of BluArmor, said, “Product development at BluArmor stems from one primary source of inspiration – the rider, and we are really excited that the effort we have taken to deliver a dramatically new experience for two-wheeler riders has been recognized by the CTA. BLU3 E20 is the result of great collaboration and cross-engineering between our industrial, mechanical, embedded and software design teams and has many firsts to its credit. We are looking forward to showcasing BLU3 E20 at CES in January.”
