As per a leaked document, the updated BS 6 variant of the TVS Apache RR 310 would be priced at Rs 2.98 lakh (on the road) w.e.f. 1st Jan 2020. That’s a very steep price hike when compared to that the BS 4 variant of the bike which currently retails at Rs 2.59 lakh (on the road).
Just like the prices of most of the other bikes in the country that have been made BS 6-ready, price of BS 6 Apache RR 310 was also expected to increase, however, not by nearly Rs 39,000!
One of the reasons behind it could be that BMW G310 R and G310 GS also use the same engine. So, brand value? Anyway, we will get to know about the exact changes only when TVS would release the info at the launch of the updated RR 310.
Talking about the launch, it can be seen in the image of the leaked document that TVS would implement the updated prices from 1st Jan 2020. This means that TVS is planning to launch not only the BS 6 Apache RR 310 but also its remaining product line-up on or before this date!
The current model of the RR 310 draws its power from a 313cc, single, that produces 34 bhp and 28 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed ‘box and also has a slipper clutch. The RR 310 is TVS’ flagship model which received a lot of criticism for its high price tag when first launched. Now, with this upcoming steep price hike, let’s see how does the audience react.
