Even after going through a series of price hikes, at Rs 1.90 lakh, Bajaj Dominar 400 is one of the best VFM products available, especially in its latest avatar with 40 PS of power, USD forks, better rearview mirrors, and whatnot. No wonder why it is one of the first choices of motorcycle tourers. Now, a bunch of spy shots have hit the internet and we suspect Bajaj has started testing the BS6 Dominar 400.

The test mule in the images didn’t have any kind of camouflage. It means that the updated Dominar wouldn’t get any serious design changes. Bajaj might introduce some new colour options, though.

Powering the current-gen Dominar is a 373cc, liquid-cooled, single, that produces 40 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and has Bajaj’s patented DTS-i technology. Bajaj would make certain necessary changes in it and, most probably, in the ECU settings, to make the updated Dominar BS6 complaint. We wouldn’t be surprised to see minor changes in the power and torque figures.

We are expecting to get more details of the BS6 Dominar 400 in the coming weeks.

On a different note, we haven’t heard a word from KTM regarding its BS6 products. Yes, we are surely waiting for the 390 Adventure to reach the dealerships but we would also like to know when KTM would update its entire product range into BS6?

All prices are ex-showroom
