It is no hidden fact that TVS has been working on electric two-wheelers for quite some time now. When we think of TVS and electric scooters, Creon comes to our minds. To refresh your memory, Creon was an electric scooter concept that TVS showcased at Auto Expo 2018. Fast forward to the present, some reports suggest TVS has been spotted testing its latest electric scooter which could be the Creon’s production-ready model.
There’s a video of the electric scooter’s test mule undergoing some road tests near TVS’ factory in Hosur. The test mule was heavily camouflaged. So, the available details are minimal.
We do hear the whining of an electric motor in the video as the test mule passes by. Also, while the front end of the electric scooter has Creon’s silhouette, the rear end appears to be similar to the Jupiter’s.
Right now, it will be too early to comment about this new electric scooter, however, looking back at Creon, we might know what’s coming. The Creon had a 12 kW electric motor which could take the scooter from 0-60 km/h in 5.1 seconds. The range was around 80 km and it would take close to an hour to get a charge of 80 percent. Other features like full-LED lighting, TFT display with GPS and navigation, battery status, smartphone connectivity, etc. were the part of the package. So, expect to see a similar kind of specs sheet.

Last year, TVS Motor Company CEO KN Radhakrishnan confirmed that the first electric TVS two-wheeler will be unveiled by the end of the current financial year 2019-20. This implies that TVS could finally reveal its electric scooter by March 2020. Had TVS been participating in Auto Expo 2020, it would have showcased its new electric scooter there. Anyway, we are expecting to hear more about it in the coming few weeks.
