As per the latest reports, BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 would cost Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). Compared to the price of the current BS4 model, that’s a price hike of Rs 1,750. This increase in price is marginal because the Dominar 400 was already a fuel-injected motorcycle and thus, Bajaj wouldn’t have to do any major changes to make the bike comply with the new and more stringent BS6 emission norms, although Bajaj would have done some amendments in the exhaust system of the bike.
After the launch of the updated Dominar 400 with a host of changes in March last year, the bike has received two price hikes of Rs 6,000 and Rs 10,000 in July and September 2019, respectively.
Since the Dominar 400 received a major update in March 2019, Bajaj would not be adding any unnecessary changes and/or features in the BS6 model as that would just add to the bike’s overall cost. However, Bajaj might introduce some new colour options.
Powering the BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 will be the same 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that puts out nearly 40bhp and 35Nm in the BS4 state of tune. We wouldn’t be surprised to see changes in these figures in the BS6 model.
We are expecting Bajaj to launch the new BS6 Dominar 400 very soon.
