The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R has been the talk of motown for a while now. It was just over a couple of weeks ago that Kawasaki launched the ZX-25R in Indonesia. Now, the Japanese brand has put out a video that details the technical specifications of the motorcycle.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is one of the most-awaited motorcycles in various markets across the world and there’s good reason for that. It marks Kawasaki’s return to the four-cylinder, 250cc format.
Back in the late 80s and early 90s, these quarter-litre, four-cylinder motorcycles were all the rage. Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki all had machines in this segment, and they produced immense amounts of power at mind-blowingly high RPMs. Soon, emissions standards put an end to them.
However they seem to be making a comeback now. Honda already has the CBR250RRR on sale and now Kawasaki has come up with the Ninja ZX-25R. However, it seems like Kawasaki fails to acknowledge the existence of the Honda CBR250RRR in the video.
The video claims that the ZX-25R is the only motorcycle with an in-line four cylinder engine in the 250cc segment. Apart from this, the video details the tech specs of the motorcycle.
The Kawasaki ZX-25R is powered by a liquid-cooled, 249.8cc, four-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 50.3bhp at 15,500rpm and a peak torque output of 22.9Nm at 14,500rpm. The engine redlines at about 17,000rpm. The rear wheel is driven by a 6-speed gearbox, via a slipper clutch.
It features advanced electronics and riding aids too. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R comes equipped with KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), two riding modes with varying levels of power, cornering ABS, etc. LEDs take care of lighting duties. It comes with a classy digital-analogue instrument cluster.
Suspension duties are handled by a 37mm upside-down big piston separate function fork up front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 4-piston, radially-mounted monobloc caliper up front.
The motorcycle has been launched in Indonesia at a price of IDR 9,60,00,000 (INR 4.99 lakhs). Realistically, it can cost upwards of Rs 8 lakh if launched in India, bringing it close to the Ninja ZX-6R in terms of price. This is why we do not see it coming to India any time soon.
