A new Ducati Scrambler might just be heading our way soon. Ducati has teased a new Scrambler model on its social media accounts. The teasers have certainly peaked our interest as this might just be an all-new Scrambler model that is about to have a global debut very soon.
The Scrambler range consists of some of Ducati’s most fun-to-ride motorcycles. It is the perfect combination of low weight, decent levels of power, and an upright riding position. Ducati already makes several variants of the Scrambler, designed to cater to different riding personalities.
Ducati India currently retails the Scrambler Icon, Scrambler Icon Dark, Scrambler 1100 Pro, Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro, and Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro. In International markets, there’s also the Scrambler Nightshift, Scrambler Desert Sled, etc. However, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to have yet another Scrambler model and Ducati seems to think the same too.
The Italian manufacturer has uploaded two teaser images on its Scrambler Ducati Instagram page. The first image depicts a rocky desert scene with the words ‘Be The Wildest’ while the other depicts a motorcycle on a sand dune throwing some sand back, with the words ‘Be The Boldest’.
Given the setting of these images, it isn’t hard to see that the upcoming model could be a more hardcore sub-variant of the Desert Sled. The Ducati Desert Sled is currently the most off-road-ready motorcycle in the Scrambler range. It does come with the same design and styling as the rest of the Scrambler range. However, it rides on knobbly-style off-road-biased tyres and gets proper off-road riding modes.
The teasers could be hinting at a more off-road variant with words like ‘Boldest’ and ‘Wildest’ being used. Rumours suggest that it could be the production version of the Ducati Scrambler Desert X that was showcased at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show. It was a Dakar Rally-styled motorcycle based on Scrambler 1100 underpinnings. It looked great and received a great response.
All we know for now is, it will be revealed on 10 March 2021 for International markets. At this moment, we cannot comment on if and when it will come to the Indian market. More details will be revealed soon.
