Gayatri Patel, as part of her One Dream, One Ride: Indian Odyssey ride has arrived at TVS Motor Company’s plant today. Gayatri was greeted by Mr. K. N. Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO, TVS Motor Company.
Gayatri, as part of her One Dream, One Ride: Indian Odyssey will traverse more than 30,000 kilometers on her TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, across 28 states, 8 Union Territories and 18 World Heritage sites. The ride was flagged off from Kolhapur on December 2020 and she has covered more than 23,000 kilometers so far. She will conclude her ride at Kolhapur on June, 2021.
Her six-month long expedition was flagged off from MAI TVS in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. She aims to ride across the country creating awareness about women’s safety and to encourage more women to join the riding community, and will cover 28 states, 8 Union Territories, and 18 World Heritage sites covering a distance of more than 30,000 kilometers. She will ride through Mumbai, Jaipur, Delhi, Spiti, Srinagar, Agra, Siliguri, Kolkata, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Coimbatore, and Bangalore before ending her ride in Kolhapur in the month of June, 2021.
An Interior Designer by profession, Gayatri, 31, following her passion, started riding to different parts of the country. She started her rides in 2017 and has already covered 65,000 kms on her TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. This includes long rides to Kanyakumari, Bhutan, Spiti and Leh. In 2019, she made her way into the India Book of Records by becoming the first Indian woman to ride to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
