PETRONAS Lubricants International (PLI) has reaffirmed its commitment to Indian motorsports by extending its title sponsorship of TVS Racing for another three years. This partnership continues to support TVS Racing—the country’s first factory racing team—across major national championships, including the Indian National Supercross Championship (INSC), Indian National Rally Championship (INRC), and Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC). By renewing this collaboration, both companies aim to further elevate the Indian motorsports landscape while strengthening PLI’s presence in the high-performance lubricants market.
Having served as the title sponsor of TVS Racing since the 2022-2023 season, PETRONAS has played a crucial role in enhancing the team’s four-decade legacy in Indian motorsports. As part of the renewed agreement, PLI will continue supplying premium semi and full synthetic oils under the PETRONAS TVS TRU4 brand to TVS Motor Company’s (TVSM) extensive dealership network. These high-performance lubricants are designed to enhance engine efficiency and longevity, further cementing PLI’s footprint in India’s two-wheeler market. The partnership aligns with TVS Racing’s commitment to innovation and excellence in motorsports, reinforcing its dominance on both national and international platforms.

TVS Motor Company’s Head of Business – Premium, Vimal Sumbly, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, emphasizing TVS Racing’s consistent success across multiple racing formats. He noted that the brand’s rich racing heritage directly influences the Apache series, incorporating race-derived performance and technology. TVS Racing has played a pivotal role in democratizing motorsports in India, nurturing talent through initiatives like the TVS One Make Championship. The extended partnership with PLI is expected to further enhance performance and innovation, leveraging PETRONAS’ expertise in fluid technology and premier racing events.
Echoing similar sentiments, Binu Chandy, Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS Lubricants India (Pvt) Ltd, expressed confidence in the ongoing collaboration. He emphasized that the synergy between high-performance lubricants and motorsport excellence has been instrumental in strengthening PLI’s presence in India’s dynamic two-wheeler market. With TVS Racing’s dominance spanning over 40 years, the renewed alliance is poised to drive motorsports forward while aligning with PLI’s broader energy ambitions in the country.
TVS Racing continues to make a mark on both national and international circuits. Rider Aishwarya Pissay has extended her winning streak at the Bajas Championship, while the TVS Asia One Make Championship (OMC) concluded a successful third season featuring 15 racers from nine countries. On the domestic front, TVS Racing secured the Teams & Manufacturer titles in the INMRC Pro Stock (165cc & 301-400cc) categories, clinched championships across all INRC categories, and achieved strong podium finishes at the INSC. Additionally, the 14th season of the TVS Indian OMC successfully showcased 50 of India’s top racing talents.
Under its ‘Track to Road’ philosophy, TVS Racing continues to integrate race-derived technology into its Apache series, ensuring high-performance motorcycles inspired by motorsports excellence. The PETRONAS TVS Racing Team remains dedicated to pushing boundaries, setting new benchmarks in competitive racing formats.
