Bajaj Auto has officially launched the Platina 110 CBS version in the Indian market and the model has already started arriving at the company’s dealerships in the country. The new Platina 110 CBS is equipped with the air cooled 115.5 cc DTS-I engine from the Discover 110 as a replacement for the air cooled 102cc DTS-I mill used by the current version. This new version has been priced at Rs 49,300/- ex-showroom.
The brand new engine dishes out 8.6 hp and 9.81 Nm which represents an increase of 1.46 Nm and 0.7 hp over the present version. The new Platina 110 CBS is longer by 3mm with overall length standing at 2006 mm. The bike is also taller by 7 mm at 1076 mm. Overall fuel tank capacity has come down by 0.5 litres to stand at 11 litres overall.
CBS (Combi-Braking System) is a key feature of the Platina 110 which is also known as Anti-Skid Braking. This will be compulsory as per brand new safety regulations which will be implemented from April 2019. The Bajaj Platina 110 CBS also features drum brakes for both front and rear as standard while there is an optional front disc as well. The new bike retains much of the design of the present Platina 110 and Bajaj will offer brand new decals which draw inspiration from the Discover range. The Platina 110 will be sold at INR 2,000 more than the present model’s price. The present version will also be sold with the new Platina until stocks last.
