Kawasaki India has launched its first ever cruiser the Vulcan S in India at a price of Rs. 5,44,000/- ex-showroom. We will get our first glimpse of this cruiser at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018.

The cruiser is stylish, urban and a very suitable option for all riders including new riders and female riders. It stands apart due to the fact of its familiar parallel twin engine, unique frame and suspension layout and non-traditional looks.

Special attention has been paid to ensure high levels of fit & comfort, with its low seat height and adjustable clutch and break levers.

On the launch of a new motorcycle, Mr. Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motor, said ”After our sports bikes, tourer bikes, naked bikes & off road bikes settled in India, we felt it was a right time for us to bring this cruiser in the market. There cannot be a better way to start a new year 2018 by introduction of our world-wide known Vulcan brand.”

As far as design of Vulcan S is concerned, the inverted triangle headlamp highlights unique styling and also adds modern flair to it looks. Besides, tight-fit rear fender, unique wheel design, powerful 8 clean –cut under-engine muffler compliments the design very well. Besides, one feature will play a vital role on the Indian roads is ergo fitment because of adjustable foot pegs, handle and seat.

Adding further Mr. Yutaka Yamashita said “FUN TO RIDE is Kawasaki’s global ideology, which perfectly fits to Vulcan S. It is different than any other cruiser mainly because of its powerful, yet easy-to control engine, easy manoeuvring, light weight yet stable, highway riding and important to mention 14 litre fuel tank with good fuel economy.”

On the technical front, the Vulcan S is equipped with Liquid-cooled, DOHC, 8-valve 649 cc Parallel Twin with fuel injection which delivers smooth, responsive performance, especially in the low and medium rpm ranges. Power figures are at 63 PS @ 7,500 RPM and 64 Nm @ 6500 RPM. The Vulcan S offers smooth starts from a standstill, smooth acceleration, and a satisfying pull when accelerating. The strong acceleration facilitates highway merging and passing. The ABS(Standard) along with 300 mm large disc with dual-piston and 250 mm disc with single piston along with enable riders.

The Vulcan S is assembled in India Kawasaki’s Chakan Pune plant.
