Avan Motors India has officially displayed the Trend E electric scooter at Bangalore’s 2019 Automobile Expo. This electric scooter comes with a lithium-ion battery and will be the newest launch in Avan Motors’ Xero e-scooter portfolio. The new offering can go up to 60 km with a single charge and will have a top speed of 45 kmph. There is a detachable battery pack and a second battery attachment provision also available for scaling up overall range to 110 km. The charging time required for the battery will be roughly 2-4 hours.

The Business Development Head at Avan Motors, Pankaj Tiwari, stated that Avan Motors has focused on research and development comprehensively and this has helped it build the Trend E which is a modern, powerful and technologically updated electric scooter that will offer superior experiences for buyers. He also stated that there is more ground clearance, a detachable battery pack and an appealing design which are three key USPs of the electric scooter.

The e-scooter gets a simple design in red and black along with a pillion backrest as optional. There are standard alloy wheels with front disc and rear drum brakes in tandem with a rear coil spring suspension system and front hydraulic telescopic forks. Avan Motors also stated that the FAME-2 scheme will give a major boost to EVs in the country and the company aims at tapping into the advantages of this new development for providing new-age electric mobility solutions to buyers. Launch dates or pricing have not been revealed as of yet for the Trend E.
