Benelli has recently launched the TRK 502 line-up in the Indian market and will follow this up with the launch of the Benelli 502 C cruiser in 2019 itself. This cruiser will make use of the platform used by the Leoncino 500 and a steel trellis frame for accommodating the twin-cylinder engine with a dedicated sub-frame at the back. The design is inspired majorly by the Ducati Diavel with some signature Benelli touches.
There are edgy and sleek LED headlamps with a chiselled fuel tank and integrated single-piece seat in tandem with the ultra-wide handlebar. There are split-LED tail lamps which are positioned on both ends of the rear. The number plate and turn indicators are accommodated on the rear tyre hugger as well.
Engine is the same twin cylinder 499.5 cc one that dishes out 47 BHP and 45 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission system. The Leoncino 500’s tyres and 17-inch alloys are also sourced for this urban cruiser which also has dual channel ABS as a standard offering. The motorcycle comes with USD 41 mm front forks and an adjustable rear monoshock. Fuel tank capacity stands at 21 litres and the Benelli 502 C cruiser is expected to be priced anywhere around INR 4.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
