Sparking speculation of a possible launch in the Indian market, CFMoto, the acclaimed two-wheeler brand from China, has reportedly been testing the 250NK naked street bike in Telangana. The company was expected to foray into India back in 2016 as a result of a partnership with Eider Motor. However, the latter’s bankruptcy put these plans on the back burner, although now the CFMoto 250NK could now finally launch in the Indian market. This bike is already sold worldwide and comes with a single cylinder 250 cc four valve liquid cooled engine that dishes out 26.5 BHP and 22 Nm.
Mounted on a trellis frame, the engine is complemented by a rear monoshock and upside down front fork along with front and rear disc brakes. There is dual channel ABS as standard along with a top speed of 128 kmph. Kerb weight stands at 151 kg while ground clearance of 150 mm is also offered.
The 250NK will compete with rivals like the new Bajaj Dominar 400 and KTM 250 Duke in its segment once it arrives in India. The company is reportedly planning a collaboration with a new Indian partner for making the launch happen soon. Prices may be competitive and under the INR 2 lakh mark.
