Honda has updated its CB Shine series with CBS (Combined Braking System) which will soon become a mandatory safety feature from the 1st of April, 2019. This will come into play when both rear and front brakes are applied upon pressing the rear brake lever. The Honda CB Shine series has been a highly successful proposition for Honda, notching up more than 70 lakh customers throughout India.

Both the CB Shine and CB Shine SP have received CBS for the drum brake variants while the disc brake variants already had CBS earlier. The CB Shine Drum Brake CBS version comes at INR 58,338 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the regular version comes for INR 57,779 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

On the other hand, the CB Shine SP Drum Brake CBS version is priced at INR 64,098 (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the regular version comes for INR 63,539 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The non-CBS models are expected to be discontinued soon by Honda prior to the upcoming safety regulations being implemented from 1st April, 2019.
