A few select worldwide markets will first receive the Harley Davidson LiveWire which is priced at $29,799 (MSRP). The electric motorcycle comes with the H-D Revelation power-train which helps it touch 60 miles per hour in less than 3.5 seconds and there is no gear shifting/clutch for the electric motor. The battery is also charged up by the power regeneration mode and the bike can go up to 110 miles on just one charge.
The Harley Davidson LiveWire is a significant development under the More Roads to Harley Davidson blueprint that aims at coming up with new and innovative offerings in added market categories. The President & CEO at Harley Davidson, Matt Levatich, stated that the company is currently witnessing a historic mobility shift worldwide and aims at being a front-runner in this regard. He added that Harley Davidson is building new products for customers to enjoy transformative experiences with their motorcycles. The LiveWire features H-D Connect which is a unique system linking riders to their vehicles via the Telematics Control Unit (LTE-enabled) and cloud connectivity solutions via the Harley Davidson App.
