Harley Davidson has officially filed its patents for the Streetfighter 975, Pan America 1250 and Custom 1250 models. These patents have been filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office by the brand. The filings indicate that two out of three models were patented with the inclusion of saree guards.
In July 2018, Harley Davidson had stated that a sub-500cc model could be introduced for the Indian market along with a whole electric bike range, bobber-styled cruiser, adventure tourer and streetfighter. This is part of the “More roads to Harley Davidson” blueprint till 2022. The company plans to launch 100 new bikes by the year 2027. These three models along with the “patented” (*cough cough) saree guards could arrive by 2020.
