Honda has confirmed that the recently announced Honda CB300R will launch on the 8th of February, 2019 in the Indian market. This announcement follows that of the tentative pricing of the bike which will be lower than INR 2.5 lakh ex-showroom as per Honda. The bike will be imported in the form of CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits and will be retailed via 22 Wing World outlets. It will be available in only two colour options, basically the Grey/Silver and the Maroon.
The Honda CB300R will be the sole Honda motorcycle to showcase the brand’s new design language apart from the 2019 CB1000R+. The new Honda CB300R comes with a digital instrument cluster and LED headlamp in tandem with dual-channel ABS. The bike has 41 mm USD forks with pre-load adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The wheels are 17-inch ones along with front 110/70 and rear 150/60 section tyres.

The bike has a liquid cooled 286 cc four valve single cylinder DOHC engine that is paired to a 6-speed transmission system. The engine dishes out 31.4 HP and 27.5 Nm of peak torque. Kerb weight is expected to be 143 kg which could make the Honda CB300R the lightest offering in this segment. Prices could be a slightly lower than the KTM 390 Duke which is priced at INR 2.44 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
