Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Okinawa Autotech, has announced the opening of its first research and development center in Italy in partnership with joint venture partner Tacita. The center, which will be headed by Tacita Co-Founder Pierpaolo Rigo, will have a total investment of 25 million euros over the next three years. The R&D center will focus on developing new products, improving existing ones, and creating a new e-powertrain for future products. The center will employ 50 specialists from India and around the world, and will have an employee exchange program with Tacita to enhance employee skills. The first product to be designed at the center will be an electric cruiser motorcycle set to be unveiled in India in the coming months.
