It maintains the “double-deck” structure of previous models, combining a stylish upper portion with a stripped-back lower portion. The headlamp unit is designed to resemble two staring eyes, giving the motorcycle a distinctive appearance.
The MT-07 is equipped with Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) technology, which allows for customizable riding modes and electronic rider aids. The three YRC (Yamaha Ride Control) settings adjust the power characteristics to suit the rider’s preferences. The MT-07 also features switchable traction control, Y-AMT transmission, and an optional quickshifter.
The 2025 MT-07 has a revised riding position with a wider, lower, and further back handlebar and lower footpegs. The fuel tank cover is narrower for a better connection to the motorcycle. The seat assembly is also new for improved comfort.
The MT-07 is powered by the 690cc CP2 parallel-twin engine, which now features an acoustic amplifying system to enhance the sound experience. The system optimizes the intake sound and channels the sound waves towards the rider.

The 2025 MT-07 has new 41mm inverted forks, a revised chassis, and dual four-piston radially mounted brake calipers. The motorcycle also features an A&S clutch for smoother downshifts and a revised swingarm.
The MT-07 is equipped with a 5-inch TFT dash that can be connected to a smartphone via the MyRide app. The dashboard provides information such as speed, tachometer, fuel gauge, and average fuel consumption. It also allows for navigation and phone connectivity.
