The BMW S 1000 XR has been launched in India. Available as a completely built-up unit (CBU), this motorcycle can be booked at all BMW Motorrad India authorized dealerships across India. The new BMW S 1000 XR has been priced at INR 22,50,000 ex-showroom. The new BMW S 1000 XR is available in the following color options: Blackstorm metallic, Gravityblue metallic (with Style Sports), and Lightwhite solid paint/Motorsport (with M Package).

BMW S 1000 XR for India
The seat of the long-distance sports bike has been completely redesigned for more freedom of movement, especially during high-performance riding on country roads and race tracks. The front fairing and lighting system feature sharp edges and striking beading, giving the bike an aggressive and consistent look. The visually short tail resembles a sport bike, and the hinted snout, high flyline, and comfortable handlebars indicate an insatiable hunger for kilometers. The adjustable windshield allows you to keep your eyes on the road and the odometer without your helmet shaking.
The new BMW S 1000 XR features a reworked in-line four-cylinder engine with a flow-optimized geometry for the intake channels, shared with the S 1000 RR. It delivers smooth and powerful torque, generating a peak output of 170 hp (125 kW) at 11,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm. The motorcycle sprints from 0-100 km/h in 3.25 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 253 km/h.
The seat height of the new BMW S 1000 XR is now 850 mm, which can be lowered with optional equipment, providing more space and better adjustment of the seating position. Improved ergonomics make it easier to maneuver the bike on the road or the race track, offering better control. The rear section now features new side panels and air intakes inspired by motorsports, and the radiator trim has a textured surface. The previously black-colored “beak” fender is now painted in body color.
The new S 1000 XR comes with an expanded standard equipment list, including Touring and Dynamic packages. These packages ensure the motorcycle is equipped for longer trips while enhancing performance and comfort. Standard features include Riding Modes Pro, Heated Grips, and Cruise Control. The standard Headlight Pro provides additional safety during night rides with its adaptive turning light. Features such as Tyre Pressure Control and Hand Protection add to riding enjoyment and safety. The rider benefits from improved road illumination in corners, and the package also includes Daytime Running Lights (DRL) for better daytime visibility. Keyless Ride and a 12 Ah capacity battery are now standard, along with a USB charging option. The optimized Shift Assistant Pro ensures higher precision when shifting gears.
Riders can further customize their motorcycle with the optional M package, enhancing the sporty profile of the new BMW S 1000 XR. The exclusive Light white/M Motorsport paintwork, included only in this package, gives the bike a powerful look. The package includes the M Sport seat for optimum support, the M lightweight battery, M forged wheels, M Endurance chain, M GPS-Lap trigger, sports silencer, tinted sport windscreen, and a striking black fuel filler cap.
