The EICMA 2024 as always continues to surprise and Honda is right at the center of it. In a surprising twist, Honda‘s R&D team has been hard at work on a new generation of high-performance internal combustion engines (ICE). The result? A groundbreaking water-cooled 75° V3 engine designed for larger displacement motorcycles.

This isn’t just any V3 engine. It features a world-first electrical compressor that allows for precise control of intake air compression, regardless of engine RPM. This translates to instant throttle response and impressive low-end torque. An any speed Super Charger of sorts.
The compact design and efficient layout of this engine open up a world of possibilities for future motorcycle models. It’s a nod to Honda’s legendary NS400R, a two-stroke V3 icon from the 1980s.
Not much else is known about the engine as of now, just that it is of large capacity (700-1000cc) but since it is already production ready we can expect the first motorcycles using this new engine showcased as early mid 2025.
