Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has taken a major leap into the future of mobility with the launch of its first electric vehicles in India: the ACTIVA e: and QC1. Introduced at a grand event in Bengaluru, Karnataka, these models signal a new chapter in Honda’s journey toward sustainable transportation. Bookings for these innovative EVs begin on January 1, 2025, with deliveries set to start in February 2025.

The ACTIVA e: brings a youthful design while preserving the heritage of Honda’s iconic Activa brand. It’s crafted to appeal to modern riders with advanced features and a sophisticated aesthetic.

Key Features of ACTIVA e:

  • Swappable Battery Technology:
    Equipped with two 1.5 kWh Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries, the ACTIVA e: offers a range of 102 km on a full charge. The batteries can be easily swapped at Honda’s BeX swapping stations, already operational in Bengaluru and Delhi, with expansion plans for Mumbai.
  • Performance:
    Powered by a 6 kW in-house developed permanent magnet synchronous motor, the ACTIVA e: accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 7.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 80 km/h. It features three riding modes: Econ, Standard, and Sport.
  • Modern Connectivity:
    A 7-inch TFT display integrates with the Honda RoadSync Duo® app for real-time updates, navigation, and smart features like Smart Unlock, Smart Start, and Smart Find.
  • Striking Design:
    Dual-tone seats, 12-inch alloy wheels, and all-LED lighting offer a blend of style and practicality. Available in five vibrant colors, including Pearl Serenity Blue and Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, the ACTIVA e: caters to diverse preferences.

QC1: Go New. Go Far.

The Honda QC1 combines sleek styling with everyday convenience, making it a versatile choice for urban commutes.

Key Features of QC1:

  • Fixed Battery Technology:
    A 1.5 kWh fixed battery pack delivers a range of 80 km on a single charge. Charging from 0 to 80% takes 4 hours and 30 minutes, while a full charge takes 6 hours and 50 minutes.
  • Efficient Motor:
    The in-wheel electric motor generates 1.8 kW peak power and 77 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 50 km/h. Riders can choose between Standard and Econ modes for tailored performance.
  • Stylish Design:
    The QC1 features smooth body lines, LED headlights, and a compact 26-liter under-seat storage box. Its futuristic look is enhanced by vibrant color options like Pearl Misty White and Pearl Shallow Blue.
  • Convenience Features:
    A 5-inch LCD display offers easy access to vehicle information, while a USB Type-C outlet ensures riders stay connected.

Honda’s Commitment to Superior Ownership Experience

Both the ACTIVA e: and QC1 will be manufactured at HMSI’s Narsapura plant near Bengaluru and will come with a 3-year or 50,000 km warranty, alongside free roadside assistance for the first year. Additionally, customers will receive three free services within the first year. The ACTIVA e: will initially launch in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with plans for a phased rollout. The QC1 will also be available in select cities starting in February 2025.
