Royal Enfield has introduced the Bear 650, a stylish and versatile scrambler designed for riders who seek adventure and individuality. This motorcycle is more than just a mode of transport; it’s a journey, a statement, and a reminder to follow one’s instincts. At least that’s what the press release says. To us, it looks more like the Interceptor 650 with an injection of fun. The Bear 650 will be available for test rides and bookings in India from November 10, 2024, with a starting price of INR 3.39 Lakhs.

Inspired by the legendary Eddie and the 1960 Big Bear Run, the Bear 650 embodies the spirit of raw instinct, sheer impulse, and relentless determination. It is built to deliver confidence and control across all terrains, whether urban streets or dusty trails.
Powered by Royal Enfield‘s globally renowned 650-Twin platform, the Bear 650 delivers a robust 47 bhp (34.6 kW) at 7,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 56.5 Nm @ 5150rpm. The innovative 2-1 exhaust system enhances torque and offers a broader powerband, while the compact single silencer reduces weight and adds to the Scrambler aesthetic.
The Bear 650’s striking design features chunky tyres with retro flavor, open square tread blocks, contoured scrambler seats, a 2-1 exhaust, a kicked-up rear loop, a competition number board, and raised ground clearance. The motorcycle is available in five striking colorways inspired by the vibrant spirit of California: Boardwalk White, Petrol Green, Wild Honey, Golden Shadow, and a special Two Four Nine edition, paying tribute to Eddie’s iconic race-winning number.

For a quintessential scrambler experience, the Bear 650 features a revised and stronger chassis, Showa USD big piston forks, Showa Twin tube RSU, and higher ground clearance. The contoured seat, wide handlebar, and neutrally positioned footpegs provide comfortable and confident ergonomics. The motorcycle is equipped with 320mm front disc and 270mm rear disc brakes for superior braking performance, with the option of switching off rear ABS for off-road riding.
Inspired by legacy but modern in many aspects, the Bear 650 is equipped with a Tripper Dash, a full-color TFT display with a simple user interface, Google Maps integration, a USB-C charging port, and Wingman Connectivity (currently available in India only). The motorcycle also features full LED lighting for increased visibility.
The Bear 650 will be available for test rides and bookings in India from November 10, 2024, with a starting price of INR 3.39 Lakhs.
