Triumph Tiger 1200 range has been launched in India. The Tiger 1200 lineup recently received a slew of updates enhancing the bike’s sophistication and performance. The updated features focus on refining the engine, improving ergonomics, boosting cornering clearance, reducing seat height via Active Preload Reduction, and offering striking new color choices.
Pricing and Warranty
The Tiger 1200 range starts at ₹19,38,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi, NCT) and includes a three-year unlimited mileage warranty, with an extension option. High service intervals—every 16,000 km or 12 months—make this an attractive choice for adventure seekers.
The 1160cc triple engine now delivers smoother, more controlled low-speed performance, retaining the distinct character of the T-plane crank. Modifications to the crankshaft, alternator rotor, and balancer, combined with refined engine calibration, allow for a more precise torque delivery at lower revs, enhancing the riding experience. Riders will notice smoother transitions, especially during low-speed maneuvers, thanks to a re-engineered clutch that facilitates seamless first-gear engagement.

Triumph has also elevated the Tiger 1200’s long-distance touring comfort. Enhanced engine balancing minimizes vibrations across contact points, making long rides more enjoyable. Additionally, dampened handlebars and risers—previously exclusive to the Explorer models—have now been extended to the GT Pro and Rally Pro, reducing vibration and providing improved mirror visibility.
Ergonomic adjustments include a redesigned seat with a flatter profile to reduce rider fatigue on extended journeys. The optional low seat reduces height by 20mm, bringing the GT Pro to an 830mm height and the Rally Pro to 855mm, for enhanced accessibility. An extended clutch lever offers more space for hand comfort, especially useful for long rides.
The Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Explorer models have gained increased cornering clearance through repositioned footpegs, enhancing rider confidence in curves. The Active Preload Reduction feature, available across the range, lowers rear suspension preload as the bike slows, reducing seat height by up to 20mm. This function can be activated by pressing the ‘Home’ button on the handlebar switch cube.

Now available in four versions, the Tiger 1200 family offers new colors: the GT Pro and GT Explorer are now available in Carnival Red, alongside Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black; the Rally Pro and Rally Explorer, optimized for off-road, come in Matt Sandstorm and Jet Black in addition to Matt Khaki.
Triumph’s Chief Product Officer, Steve Sargent, remarked, “The updates to the Tiger 1200 range deliver a smoother, more refined ride, broadening its global appeal. With these refinements, our engineering team has further elevated the Tiger 1200’s impressive performance by incorporating feedback from our riders and enhancements from the Tiger 900.”
Originally launched in 2021, the Tiger 1200 was built to be the most capable, nimble large-capacity adventure bike. It has seen international success, including the Tiger 1200 GT Explorer’s feat with Enduro World Champion Ivan Cervantes, who set a Guinness World Record by covering the longest distance on a motorcycle within 24 hours.
