India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has launched the AEROX 155 Version S, echoing the essence of performance, style, and innovation from their ‘The Call of the Blue’ campaign. This latest Maxi-Sports Scooter introduces the Smart Key technology, enhancing convenience and safety for riders navigating city streets. The AEROX 155 Version S is exclusively sold at Blue Square showrooms in two appealing colors – Silver & Racing Blue, priced at Rs. 1,50,600 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Smart Key feature is designed to transform urban commuting, offering riders a hassle-free experience. Its answer-back feature helps locate the scooter in busy cityscapes by activating flashing indicators and a buzzer for easy spotting in crowded areas. Keyless ignition simplifies starting the scooter through proximity, eliminating the need for manual key insertion. Riders can start the scooter by turning the knob to ignition and pressing the start button.
This innovation not only boosts convenience but also heightens security against unauthorized access or theft. The Smart Key includes an immobilizer function, safeguarding the scooter when the key is not nearby, offering riders peace of mind. The AEROX 155 boasts a bold design, sleek proportions, and a distinctive X Centre motif, making it ideal for both city commuting and highway cruising. It comes with a Traction Control System (TCS) and is powered by a 155cc Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). Paired with a CVT transmission, the liquid-cooled engine delivers a max power of 15 PS at 8,000rpm and peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6,500rpm. This Yamaha Maxi-Sports Scooter is E20 fuel compliant, features an on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) System, and includes a hazard system as standard.
