TVS is preparing to make its debut in India’s fast-growing adventure motorcycle segment with the upcoming Apache RTX 300. Recently surfaced spy shots show the motorcycle undergoing road tests alongside key competitors such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure, suggesting that TVS is actively benchmarking its ADV against the segment’s top contenders. The Apache RTX 300 is expected to be priced between ₹2.4 lakh and ₹2.6 lakh (ex-showroom), and its official debut could take place within the next couple of months.
The engine on the Apache RTX 300 is TVS’s new RT-XD4 engine, a 299cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve motor first unveiled at the 2024 MotoSoul event. This engine is expected to deliver approximately 35 bhp and 28.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and bi-directional quickshifter — a feature set that places it squarely in line with modern performance expectations in the segment.

Interestingly, it looks like TVS MD Sudarshan Venu was riding the test mule himself, indicating that the motorcycle is in its final phase of testing and development. This further hints at an official launch timeline within the next two to three months. The Apache RTX 300 will mark TVS’s first foray into the adventure motorcycle category — a segment that has seen a significant surge in popularity in recent years.
Spy images reveal that the Apache RTX 300 has been designed as a full-fledged adventure tourer. It features a tall stance, upright ergonomics, and long-travel suspension. The motorcycle sports knobby tyres, an upswept exhaust, and a likely split seat setup — all hallmarks of a capable off-roader. Other notable design elements include a semi-faired body, muscular fuel tank, luggage rack, LED tail light, sleek LED turn indicators, and high-mounted handlebars for comfortable long-distance touring. The front forks are upside-down (USD) units, finished in black, paired with a rear monoshock. The bike is expected to ride on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, with petal disc brakes at both ends and switchable dual-channel ABS.

Tech Features and Connectivity
While the bike may not feature the vertical TFT instrument cluster found on the Apache RTR 310 or RR 310, it is seen sporting a horizontal display, likely offering Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, call/message alerts, and music controls via the TVS SmartXonnect app. These features would give the Apache RTX 300 a technological edge in its category.
