The V-STROM 800DE adopts a highly rigid new steel frame designed to provide the strength needed for rougher trails, excellent straight-line stability, nimble handling, and performance at highway speeds during long-distance touring. The narrow profile of the seat rails assists riders in better controlling the bike with their legs.
Equipped with Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) inverted front forks with 220 mm wheel travel, the V-STROM 800DE delivers a smooth, controllable ride with stable damping characteristics, ideal for adventure touring. The spring preload and compression/rebound damping can be adjusted to match rider preferences or usage conditions.
The Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) mono-shock rear suspension enhances agility and stability, with adjustable spring preload particularly beneficial for tandem riding or carrying a load.
With an impressive 220 mm ground clearance, the V-STROM 800DE offers exceptional stopping power and control with dual front disc brakes measuring 310mm.
