IKM (India Kawasaki Motor) has officially started deliveries for its 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in the country. Prices were declared at INR 10.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) on the 15th of January, 2019 previously. The first unit was delivered to a buyer from Mumbai in KRT (Kawasaki Racing Team) colour which the bike comes with.
The Managing Director at Kawasaki India, Naoki Matsumoto, stated that the ZX-6R garnered huge appreciation when it was confirmed for the Indian market since it is a highly ambitious product. With deliveries being started, he expressed his hope that buyers would enjoy riding the Ninja ZX-6R on regular roads and tracks alike. The bike gets a four cylinder in-line 636 cc DOHC engine that makes 126 BHP and 70.8 Nm.
The bike also gets KIBS (Kawasaki Anti-Lock Braking System) and traction control with three modes in addition to the KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) as a standard feature. The 6R also has multiple ride modes to suit different conditions. Tyres are Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres on offer and the bike will be brought to India in the form of CKD kits and hence the competitive pricing.
