Hyosung has made a strong comeback into the Indian market and now are planning to target the volume segment with sub 200cc machines. The Korean manufacturer who recently joined up the India based DSK Motowheels are on route to enter this mass selling segment. Currently Hyosung sells four models in India with the latest entry to the list being the Comet 250. The 250cc Comet is receiving a lot sales and quite certainly will be their sales anchor till other models like the GV650 and GV250 cruisers come in later this year.

The company in-fact is already on the look out for prospective locations for a manufacturing unit for these volume oriented bikes and are pretty sure to decide on one in the coming months. This India based plant would help them manufacture their engines and other key components and would help in keeping the price very competitive and also bring down the costs of the existing motorcycles dramatically. There are a few prospective engines and lower capacity models already by Hyosung in the international markets and they are being reviewed by the company to check its feasibility for the Indian market.
