Enigma Auto has just launched three new electric scooters priced between Rs 28,500 and Rs 31,900 (on-road Delhi). Enigma auto is a division of Enigma Electricals Pvt.Ltd, formed to manufacture automotive products. Its vision is to offer an efficient, economical and eco friendly future to the Indian transportation. The company has also announced that further on they will also bring out three and four wheeled electric transportation solutions.
Enigma Auto imports almost 50 percent of its product parts from Taiwan and is currently assembling the scooters at their plant at Delhi. They have a current target of selling about 20,000 scooters in the first year. Currently they have 18 dealers across India and want to expand it to 100 by 2013.
Enigma Auto Chief Executive Officer Arun Kumar Upadhyay said “We are setting up a new plant at Bhiwadi in Rajasthan at an investment of Rs 30 crore. The plant will have an installed capacity to roll out 500 units every day.”
