The KTM Duke 200 will be the first of many KTM‘s that will come to India via the 38% Bajaj connection. The KTM Duke 200 has definitely kept us waiting and after the wrong 200 showed up at the Auto Expo 2012, today finally gets launched in India with finally an official word on its price after many many months of spy pictures, display models at international auto expo’s and speculation on its specifications.
The hunt for specifications ended quite recently with the KTM website finally listing the KTM 200 and its specifications and also quite prominently announced its India launch. Then began the phase of the immense debate on what price this orange hooligan would be sold at. With discussions that turned went on for pages and with a lot of people suddenly becoming insiders at Bajaj-KTM, the numbers game became quite an entertainment by itself. While brand loyalists stand hard on their feet they also do know that Bajaj has always played the right cards when it comes to pricing and definitely made life difficult for competition in the past, and surely as expected pricing the KTM Duke 200 at a steal 1.17 lakh ex-showroom Delhi has only re-confirmed that Bajaj-KTM is here to stay. Orange days ahead.
