We told you during the ZX10R and the ZX014R India launch that Kawasaki was planning to bring in more ‘big bikes’ in the coming months, and as expected India Kawasaki Motors have now launched the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and the Kawasaki Z1000 in India. Both these bikes have a price tag of 12.5L ex-showroom Pune and will be available through the exclusive Kawasaki showroom in Pune. Kawasaki, although they are still linked up with Bajaj, they are slowly making a stronger individual stand in India. They will slowly be opening individual Kawasaki showrooms across the country and move their bikes to these showrooms which are currently being sold through the Bajaj–KTM stores. The bigger 1000cc bikes currently will only be available through the Pune showroom as they need dedicated effort in terms of maintenance and trained personnel.
