When Honda India informed that they would be launching a new 150cc motorcycle, the key word here being ‘new’, it was safe to assume that it would be the CB150R Streetfire, that was recently launched in Indonesia. The surprise how ever came in when Honda launched the CB Trigger with a very familiar engine, the one on the Dazzler, one that Honda claims will return a mileage of 60 kmpl. In many ways the new Honda bike, the CB Trigger is a cosmetically updated Dazzler. We were excited when we brought to you news last month that Honda would be launching four new bikes every year but if new products mean old wine in new bottles, it will be long before we can see some exciting bikes. Nevertheless the CB Trigger does look good and features a decent amount of goodies along with a fuel efficient engine. The new digital meter looks fresh and upmarket and combined with the LED tails lights gives the Honda a more up to date features list. Styling wise you will be reminded a lot about the existing Dazzler, but there are distinctive changes that give it a more polished look. Honda has given the CB Trigger its Combi-Brake system as an optional extra. What it does is apply a bit of the front brake when the rear brake is applied. Basically what Honda have done is create a bike that is more appealing and in tune with expectation of the current buyer. Honda have not yet announced the pricing of the CB Trigger, but we expect an ex-showroom cost of about 72,000 INR. We will reserve our opinions on how it performs in the real world after we do a full fledged Honda CB Trigger review, for now we leave you with a detailed look at its specifications.
